Is Verve AI Detectable?

A blanket invisibility claim does not resolve the worry about what an interviewer can see. This section explains the two relevant paths: content transmitted by the call and information inspected by software on your device.

In an ordinary Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams call, a remote interviewer receives the media you transmit, such as camera video, microphone audio, and shared content. Joining the call does not by itself give that person a list of your installed applications or running processes.

Assessment software and device monitoring introduce separate access. A browser-based assessment, an installed proctoring application, and a managed device do not have identical permissions. A claim that one can identify Verve AI needs evidence about the actual detection method.

This page does not verify the behavior of a particular Verve AI release. A useful visibility test identifies the release, operating system, meeting client, and capture method; a result without those details cannot establish a universal guarantee.

The decisive question is whether the assistant enters the captured content. Recording a meeting does not automatically expand what the meeting can see.

• Shared content. If assistant text or its interface appears in the image sent to participants, they can see it. Selecting a window or browser tab narrows the capture source compared with selecting an entire display. Overlay and notification behavior still depends on the software and capture method.
• Meeting recordings. A recording can preserve shared content and visible or audible clues for later review. It does not automatically acquire unrelated windows that were never included in the meeting stream.
• Separate screen recordings. A recorder running on the device can capture a different area from the meeting's shared stream. Evidence that an interface is excluded from one capture method does not establish exclusion from another.

Consider a backend engineer in a system-design interview on Google Meet. The meeting recording contains a shared architecture diagram; an assistant window outside that captured content is not revealed merely because recording is enabled. If the assessment also uses a separate desktop recorder, the recorded scope can be wider.

An interview can involve monitoring beyond the meeting application. Depending on its permissions and configuration, installed proctoring software can inspect running applications or capture the display. Browser-based checks operate within the access available to the website and browser.

On a company-managed device, management or security software can inventory applications and managed browser extensions. That does not establish that Verve AI will be flagged, that the interviewer can access those records, or that every managed device has the same monitoring.

Browser extensions are also not automatically visible to every assessment website. Detectability depends on the extension's observable behavior, its design, and any browser management or installed monitoring software. Being a desktop application does not provide immunity from device inspection.

Screen sharing, recording, proctored assessments, and company-managed devices fall outside any blanket invisibility assurance. Check the organizer's permitted-assistance rules before using a copilot. If permission is unclear, ask the organizer; technical visibility does not determine whether assistance is allowed.

Interviewers can also question unexplained pauses or answers a candidate cannot explain. Those observations do not identify Verve AI or prove that an assistant was used.

A useful comparison starts with audio capture, where suggestions appear, and whether the tool adds anything to the meeting. Without verified tests of Verve AI's current implementation, this page cannot establish that either product is harder to detect.

• Native desktop app. SubcueAI's flagship macOS and Windows app captures both system audio and microphone audio. It presents assistance in a floating local overlay and works with desktop meeting clients.
• Browser extension. SubcueAI also provides live in-interview assistance through its Side Panel in Chromium browsers, including Chrome and Edge. It captures only the meeting tab's audio, meaning the interviewer, never your microphone, and does not transcribe the candidate. This surface covers calls running in browser tabs. The Firefox build supports mock practice only.

Neither SubcueAI surface sends a meeting bot into the call or injects a content script into the meeting page. A bot participant and injected meeting-page content therefore are not exposure paths for these surfaces. Their interfaces can still be exposed through screen capture, and their software remains subject to any applicable device monitoring.

These design facts do not establish invisibility during screen sharing, recording, proctoring, or use on a company-managed device. Compare products against the interview format and its assistance rules, including whether you need interviewer-only audio or both sides of the conversation.
