Is Verve AI Detectable?

It depends on how you run it, not on the tool being invisible. A meeting platform cannot scan your computer for Verve AI, but sharing your full screen, running a proctoring tool, or being recorded can expose any assistant. In a proctored interview, none of them are safe.
What a video interview can actually see
You are probably asking because you want a straight answer instead of marketing copy. This section covers what a video call actually has access to, and the short version is that it sees less of your machine than most people assume.
Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams capture your camera, your microphone, and whatever screen or window you choose to share. On their own they do not scan your operating system, read your running processes, or inventory the software you have installed. A meeting platform has no mechanism to look for Verve AI, or for any other assistant, sitting on your computer.

- Screen sharing. If you share your entire desktop rather than a single application window, everything on that desktop travels with it, including any answer panel.
- Browser extensions. An assistant that runs as an extension lives inside the browser, so anything that inspects the browser can see it. Some coding-assessment platforms check the extension list before a test starts.
- Meeting participants. A tool that joins the call as its own bot appears in the participant list under a name everyone can read.
These are structural properties of how a tool is built, not settings you can switch off. Before trusting any assistant, confirm which of the three shapes it uses, because that decides your exposure more than any feature list does.
Where detection is effectively certain
Some interview formats remove the question entirely. In a proctored assessment the proctoring software runs on your machine with permission to watch your screen, your processes, and sometimes your webcam. That is the whole point of it. A recorded interview has the same effect on a delay, because anything visible during the call is visible again on playback, reviewed by someone who is not under time pressure.
A company-managed laptop is the third case. Device management can enumerate installed applications and browser extensions directly, so the tool does not need to be caught in the moment.
Consider a backend engineer interviewing for a senior role at a payments company. The recruiter screen is a normal video call, so an assistant is a reasonable choice there. The next round is a proctored coding assessment on a company-issued laptop, and in that round no assistant is safe, whichever vendor built it. Treating those two rounds the same is the mistake worth avoiding.
