The pace questions are not filler either. Speed of execution comes up repeatedly, so have a story where you shipped an imperfect first version deliberately and improved it with what you learned.

• Algorithms. Standard data structures and algorithm problems on a shared editor, usually with the interviewer watching you reason rather than waiting for a finished solution.
• System design. For mid and senior engineers, consumer-scale prompts such as a recommendation pipeline, a video upload and transcode path, or a notification service.
• Domain depth. Machine learning candidates get ranking, features, and evaluation metrics; infrastructure candidates get storage and traffic questions.
• Practical debugging. How you would find the cause of a latency regression or a bad deploy.

Reported experiences differ by office and organization, so ask your recruiter which rounds your loop contains rather than preparing for a format you may not get.
