Does SubcueAI have a Chrome extension?

You want a straight answer before you install anything, so here it is: SubcueAI has a browser extension for Chromium browsers, meaning Chrome and Edge, and this section covers what it does. The extension has two jobs, practice and live assist, and they are separate modes.

• Mock interview practice. The extension runs a full mock interview in your browser: an AI interviewer asks questions grounded in your resume and target job, you answer by voice or by typing, and you get a transcript and analysis afterward.
• Live in-interview assist. The Side Panel listens to a real interview running in a browser tab and shows answer suggestions in real time.

The Side Panel captures the meeting tab's audio only. That means it hears the interviewer, whose voice comes through the tab, and it does not transcribe your microphone. Two consequences follow:

• It works for interviews that run inside a browser tab, for example a Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams call joined from the web, not from a separate desktop app.
• It runs on Chromium browsers, Chrome and Edge; the Firefox build is limited to mock practice and does not do live assist.

Live assist does not join the call as a meeting bot, and it does not inject a content script into the meeting page, so no extra participant shows up in the call.

The browser extension is the right tool when your interview lives in a browser tab. When it does not, the native desktop app is the stronger surface.

• The macOS and Windows app captures dual audio, both system output and your microphone, so it can follow the whole conversation, not only the interviewer.
• It works with the desktop clients of Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, which a browser extension cannot reach.
• It draws a floating overlay on your own screen rather than living inside the browser.

Pick by where your interviews happen. Consider a product manager preparing for a remote loop where the recruiter screen is a browser-tab Google Meet and the final panel is a Microsoft Teams desktop call: the extension Side Panel is enough for the screen, and the desktop app covers the panel. Many candidates keep both, using practice mode between rounds.
