JPMorganChase uses standardized assessments for certain positions. Formats can include structured live interviews, on-demand recorded interviews, and virtual skills assessments. You will be notified if your role requires one.

Some roles require an on-demand recorded video interview completed within a designated timeframe on a device with a camera and microphone. It may evaluate language proficiency, verbal presentation, or technical ability. When a technical assessment is required, it takes the form of a standardized online test or a technical interview where the candidate demonstrates skills live.

Use screen, case, behavioral, presentation, and onsite as preparation categories, not JPMorganChase round names. For a screen, sharpen your career narrative and interest in the role. For a case, structure the user problem, goal, evidence, options, tradeoffs, and decision. For behavioral discussions, prepare examples of judgment and collaboration. For a presentation, build a clear recommendation and defend it. For onsite preparation, rehearse moving between product, analytical, execution, prioritization, and leadership discussions.

Product Manager interviews generally examine how you make and communicate decisions.

• Screen: Explain your background, product responsibilities, decisions, and results concisely.
• Case: Demonstrate product sense by identifying the user and problem, then apply analytical and execution reasoning to reach a recommendation.
• Behavioral: Show cross-functional leadership through specific examples of alignment, disagreement, influence, and accountability.
• Presentation: Organize evidence, make priorities explicit, and answer challenges without losing the main argument.
• Onsite: Connect customer judgment, analysis, execution, prioritization, and leadership across varied conversations.

Strong answers make the decision, supporting evidence, tradeoffs, and your personal contribution easy to distinguish.

Compared with preparation for a narrowly technical role, Product Manager preparation should connect customer judgment with analysis, delivery, and influence. A technically feasible answer is incomplete if it does not explain who benefits, what outcome matters, what should be prioritized, and how the team would execute.

Do not depend on a memorized framework from another employer. Use a simple structure that fits the question, state assumptions, compare options, and make a decision. In leadership stories, distinguish the team result from the actions you personally took.

JPMorganChase does not publish how long the process takes. If a recorded interview is required, complete it within the designated timeframe in your instructions. Many assessments may not be retaken for a designated period, and candidates are told that period when applicable.

The challenge in Product Manager preparation is consistency across formats. You need enough structure to be clear while remaining responsive to new information, objections, and tradeoffs. Recorded responses also require concise delivery without live follow-up from an interviewer.
