You may expect a culture chat you can coast through, and that assumption costs candidates offers. Meta publishes the values it hires against, including moving fast, focusing on long-term impact, and being direct while respecting colleagues. A candidate who describes waiting three weeks for consensus before shipping anything is answering the question badly even if the project succeeded.

The deep-dive project question usually eats a third of the session. Pick a project where you can go three layers down: the business goal, your technical or product decisions, and the specific trade-offs you rejected and why.
