What you actually get for free
Most tools labelled free hide the catch at the download button. The SubcueAI resume builder does not: building, editing, and exporting cost nothing, the PDF carries no watermark, and no credits are drawn from your plan. Here is what that covers.

Templates and layout
You do not start from a blank page unless you want to. The builder opens with a choice of starting points: a software engineer sample, a product manager sample, a designer sample, a new graduate sample, or an empty document. Each fills the sections with realistic placeholder content you replace with your own.
Two layouts are available: a single-column design that is the safe default for applicant-tracking systems, and a two-column design that moves skills and certifications into a sidebar. Every field is plain text, so the exported PDF stays clean and easy to parse.
Your resume feeds the interview assistant
Once a resume is saved, you can mark it active with the Use for Interview action. From that point it becomes part of what the mock interviewer and the live desktop assistant read when they generate questions and answer suggestions, alongside the job description you target.
Consider a backend engineer applying for a mid-level role at a payments company. With a specific resume marked active, the suggestions pull from that engineer’s real projects instead of generic filler, so a behavioural answer references the migration they actually led. A vague resume produces vague help, which is the practical reason to write the document with care.

Open the builder from your dashboard, sign in to a free account, and pick a starting point: a blank document or a sample for software engineering, product management, design, or a new graduate.
