תהליך הגיוס ב-Amazon
- The phone screen is a 30- to 45-minute discussion, typically with a recruiter or hiring manager, and is the first live interaction with Amazon. [מקור]
- The interview loop is the final and most comprehensive stage: four to six interviews lasting 45-60 minutes each, where each interviewer assesses different aspects of a candidate's skills and experience. [מקור]
- Amazon's 16 Leadership Principles are the foundation of every hiring decision, and the cornerstone of the interviews is the STAR method: situation, task, action, and result. [מקור]
- A Bar Raiser, an objective interviewer from outside the hiring team, takes part in the loop to ensure Amazon's hiring standards are maintained. [מקור]
- The interview panel holds a debrief after the final interview; Amazon typically provides feedback within two business days after phone interviews and within five business days after the loop. [מקור]
- For Software Development Engineer roles, the hiring process includes an online assessment with a coding test; for SDE II it is 90 minutes for two technical questions, followed by 20 minutes of systems design scenarios and an 8-minute multiple-choice Work Style Survey. [מקור]
- The SDE II interview loop includes four 55-minute interviews with members of the software development community; candidates are expected to write syntactically correct code, not pseudo code, and to expect at least one question on software systems design. [מקור]
- Software development interviews cover programming languages, data structures, algorithms, coding, object-oriented design, databases, distributed computing, operating systems, and internet topics; most technical interviews require coding and system design whiteboarding exercises, and interviewers look for the ability to apply knowledge to solve problems rather than memorized details. [מקור]
- For Product Manager - Technical roles, the technical phone screen is 60 minutes with a senior leader, split half on Leadership Principles behavioral questions and half on the technical product life cycle, and the loop is five 55-minute interviews. [מקור]
- For Applied Scientist roles, a 60-minute technical phone screen with a senior leader (sometimes a second one) precedes a loop of four 55-minute interviews with members of the science community; each interviewer typically asks two or three behavioral questions. [מקור]
